At this point, Hans Trapp appears and abducts Yonas. Asdis tries to catch up with Trapp but fails. Hans was being watched by one of the Yulemen, the mythic creatures of Christmas. He introduces himself to Asdis and tells her that Hans Trapp has kidnapped his brothers as well, and if they do not get together before Christmas (there are several hours before it), it will not happen, and none of them will be saved.
