In the sequel to Dragon City, gradual improvements to the breeds become noticeable. Breeds grow in value when they’re fed and cared for. Some evolve due to combat. Rock formed between the two Earths. Flamion turning into Flameon. From the ocean to the sea, traveling between both in a continuous loop. A dragon's species will have 11 distinct levels of evolution. Level 11 is considered supremely powerful, and no other level is considered better than it.

Each dragon species and its corresponding rank has its own distinctive fighting style. Flamion's abilities include Nuclear Hit, Soot, Flaming Arrow and Flying Kick. The strength of the Dragon’s competitors’ strategy determines which battle skills the dragon can choose. Winning lots increases available skills, improving the overall fighting prowess of each dragon breed.

Newborn dragon offspring exhibit unique physical indicators of strength. Encouragement and proper care increase these indicators over time, leading to eventual surpassing and upgrading to the next level. Vesuvian dragons exhibit average Offensive, Defending and Speed capabilities before they are raised. However, their S.Attack and Life Index stats increase once they are fed and cared for. In order to care for larger dragon populations, you need to both feed and breed new dragons. In addition, you’ll have to expand the Dragon City in the air by building new cages, reinforcing existing structures and constructing new feeding stations.
