In July 2017, the game Suicide Guy was released by the publisher Chubby Pixel. It is a puzzle adventure game that was only released on PC, then it was supported on other platforms including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Linux. In the very beginning of the game, a dreamy first-person perspective shows a suicidal man jumping from rooftop to rooftop. He jumps off the last rooftop and wakes up before his dream sequence changes to him on his living room couch with a middle-aged beer drinking man. But he would have never dropped the beer bottle if he hadn’t gotten drunk, nodded off or carelessly knocked it on the ground. One second before it fell to the floor, he changed locations and appears instead in a food line next to a screen with a falling beer bottle. He is trapped in an endless nightmare and needs your help to escape. When you first play the game, you might find the story's opening minutes confusing or off-putting since they resemble elements from the movie Inception. The protagonist of Suicide Guy is a character from the movie Inception who dreams about a dream loop.

It's difficult to exit a dream if you die in it. You also can't enter Limbo if you die in a dream. When you fall asleep, you'll wake up. However, the main character of Suicide Guy needs to make every effort to help him commit suicide in his dreams. A man obsessed with a puzzle game finds himself in a state of mindlessness. But he needs players to observe and think carefully to help him get back to the real world.

The original Suicide Guy game only had 25 stages. However, the Android version of the game expanded the number of levels to 28. Each level features a different location and context along with a different space. You’ll explore many strange and mythical locations while lost in a drunken stupor. Along the way, you’ll encounter scenes revolving around common locations like Mario games. The first puzzle adventure game to use a first-person perspective is Suicide Guy. The game's creator states that the choice to use a first-person perspective is the best decision he ever made. Its use adds realism to the player's experience. The bright colors and heart-shaped lines in the game's 3D animation go well with the map-like aesthetic of the game.

Although Suicide Guy is a great game, it has some technical flaws that reduce the player’s experience. It’s easy to pick up items but extremely difficult to place them properly due to the game’s half-hearted interactive system. If you accidentally drop items, you won’t be able to retrieve them; you have to play the game again. Currently, the game experience an error when playing with vibrations turned on. Doing this causes the phone's vibration to be excessively loud, which can be very distracting during gameplay. It requires extreme exploration of the subconscious to start a new life and overcome significant challenges.

Unlocking new problems requires locating the correct keys: objects. Finding these keys leads to solving new problems; which in turn unlocks new doors. Each of these doors leads to the next hidden place. The only way to wake up from this nightmare is to kill this man. Gather information and roam freely to find a way to dispatch this target. Death is his only source of happiness and the fastest way out of his dream. Tools come with varying degrees of usefulness. Determine the correct conclusions by reasoning wisely. And don’t ignore any aspects of a case to you won’t progress.

In each level, the intelligence statue is awaiting discovery. It's always hiding in very inaccessible places or near the very end of the level. Once you find it, you know you're smart enough to complete the next level. Recognizing the value of your skills requires not overlooking the statues lying in unlikely places. Only those paying close attention to their surroundings can find them. Different materials like bronze, silver and gold are used to create the statues.
