The cost of a battle change per turn, and performing actions like movement or action drains the cost until it's full again. More expensive moves cost more than simpler ones. Once full, a move costs nothing to perform. Moving costs one square per move; the cost of an action varies depending on the spell card in hand. Select cards with powers, ranges and differing effects to defeat monsters.

Spell cards stack together to create stronger ones. Each stack adds another card, up to a maximum of four cards per Spell. Each Spell has three different types of magic— magic that heals, magic that damages and magic that both damages and heals. Creating an effective Spell deck requires careful planning and strategic arrangement of cards.

In Demon Dungeons, you need to explore spaces and defeat enemies in a specific order. This game features deck organization, card game-like battles and strategic elements that move squares together. When you play cards or move, your actions cost money. This means you can’t perform productive actions if you move or play cards in one go. However, combining different actions or attacking while moving can be done at a lower cost.

This is because each dungeon is just a video game screen. To defeat enemies, players can use attacks and maneuvers to destroy them. A chessboard-like system of movement is used for the mechanism within the dungeon. Cards representing skills are used to defeat enemies when approaching them within close proximity. Carrying capacity is four cards, but up to ten can be stored if desired. When randomly dealing cards for an ability, only four are chosen at random. This card game is easy to play; combining tactical cards with matching an opponent's results in victory. Players replace each used card with another, and new tactical cards are always available. You need to move and cast within the prescribed range. Take care when doing this.

Players should watch their step as the dungeons’ difficulty gradually increases. This gives way to tougher monsters and a greater challenge. Although combining smart tactics can help, players will need a strategic edge to win. For instance, spreading enemies across smaller creatures or summoning multiple mini-monsters can give them an advantage. And for maximum efficiency, players should collect cards with long-range power generation ability. A player should immediately eliminate any potential threats when they enter the game screen. These characters have no regard for life and are only focused on killing. Consequently, players are likely to be intimidated and on high alert around them. Look up information regarding monster weaknesses and defenses. Use this knowledge to give proper battle commands.

The TCG element makes it hard for players to determine a strategy through the game's levels. Because they often don't know what new game screens lie ahead of them. Each new level becomes more dangerous, populated by increasingly numerous monsters and challenging for players to combat. Various support cards can help players win. These cards come in many forms, including fighting styles that use distance or melee weapons or a space to control. Cards with a melee style cause the most damage and have the highest accuracy in an earthquake.
