Skills add many variations to each natural skill. These change the power and effect of the original skill dramatically. They also have an extremely long cooldown, which means they can only affect a large number of enemies at once. Because of this, they're best used when bringing down multiple enemies at once.

In order to expand gameplay, Town-Building games need access to building tools. This is why Towerlands’ training system is so important. It enables every combat unit to be improved through growth and evolution. Since Town-Building games don’t have this feature, it makes their games incomplete.
