Decoded text is automatically selected by default. If a user wants to select words using the cursor, they can pinch outside the text to toggle between decoding and selection modes. Text can be copied, shared or saved by accessing the menu with the attached handle. Additionally, a user can change settings like the font and background color with ease by tapping on outside of the text.

Careful decoding is necessary when using Morse Expert, as the microphone audio picks up echo. This can significantly decrease the accuracy of the decoded message, or even render the entire decoded message unreadable. To minimize echo, place the microphone as close to the phone as possible.

By default, the application’s decoder automatically switches between multiple signals. A tap on the frequency indicator displays green, then yellow, to indicate that the current mode is locked. Pressing the indicator again disables it. The Ham Radio mode allows you to change settings between text mode and QSO radio mode. This mode is the default setting; it processes decoded text to improve word segretation and display a screenshot. You can also switch to QSO radio mode from this menu.

You can use the front panel's headset jack, or connect your phone through the Morse Expert with Radio and radio connection. Avoid audio echoing when recording via the microphone by taking a screen capture or placing the microphone near to the device. By switching between Ham Radio mode and the default text mode, you can easily switch between general text and the QSO mode. This also improves word segmentation and makes it possible to find other words that are extraordinary. Frequency lock mode automatically cycles through received signals, sets its frequency via a touchscreen tap, and reverts it with a second press. You can easily turn text into audio using the Text Selection Mode in the app's menu. Additional features include sharing and copying selections. ———
